Lubo spent test 10 months as a Business & Planning Analyst at a Swiss Pharmaceutical Company. He was supporting operational managers (from aphtha, derma, cardio, procurement to market access) and the CFO with diverse analysis, relating to expenditures – mainly driven by marketing activities and sales – actuals, forecasting, planning. The role also required reporting to the group on monthly basis.
For the last 6 months Lubo has been acting as a reporting specialist in a Swiss insurance/reinsurance company providing cover for a missing FTE. His activities include following
- Closing activities on a quarterly basis for investment and financing companies
- Quarterly Group Reporting in line with the corporate US GAAP as well as statutory Lux and Swiss accounting principles
- Internal Economic Valuation Method (EVM), including analysis and legal entity reporting preparation and presentation to senior finance management, BoD and other stakeholders
- Preparation and coordination with internal & external auditors to conduct audit activities
Working experience
Lubo joined KPMG in 2010. Since then Lubo has been part of audit teams participating on various audits – mostly from automotive, agriculture, pharmaceutical, transport, retail, FMCG and energy sectors. Lubo’s relevant experience includes:
- conducts assigned audit engagements from the beginning to end;
- supervises junior auditors assigned to engagements (teams consist up to 5 members);
- ensures audit compliance with regulatory standards and best practice;
- responsible for audits in various Slovak TOP 500 companies (moderate to big sized);
- consults IFRS treatment in contrary to Slovak GAAP with the client;
- conducts audit engagements related to European structural funds (compliance with regulatory standards, inspecting tenders to ensure value for money is adhered to)
Education
- ACCA/ member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
- Economics degree (Accounting and Auditing) from University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia
